Liverpool fans love what Emre Can did in 93rd minute

While Salah was the name on every Liverpool fan’s lips after the win over Leicester, there was another player who the supporters were delighted with at the full-time whistle.

Emre Can put in a reasonably decent performance for the Reds - the Liverpool Echo handed the German midfielder a 7/10 rating for his performance - but it was what he did towards the end of the match which fans absolutely loved.

With just seconds left on the clock, referee Neil Swarbrick awarded a drop ball.

Can, fed up by Leicester’s time-wasting antics earlier in the match, quickly won possession as soon as the ball bounced and proceeded to whack the ball out of play - like a rugby player booting the ball out to touch - for a Leicester throw-in deep in their own half.

The 23-year-old had been booked earlier in the second half for trying to get the ball back from Leicester’s players moments after Salah’s equaliser.

But he got his revenge right at the death.
