The WWE has finally welcomed in the "Broken Universe" that Matt Hardy made so famous during his time away from the company, but with a few minor tweaks.

Now Hardy is considered "Woken" rather than "Broken," and some changes have been made to his theme song as well. It was reported earlier last week that Hardy had been using his old piano music theme song at live events, however, that may no longer be the case.

Hardy came out to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (1st movement) at a Madison Square Garden live event, which fans loved because it goes back to the roots of the "Broken" gimmick which makes it all the more popular.

He would defeat Bray Wyatt at the event, who he is currently feuding with on WWE TV, and its expected they'll eventually settle their differences in a match at the Royal Rumble.

During a live event this past Friday, however, Hardy instead reverted back to using the Hardy Boyz theme when making his way to the ring, but was still in character as "Woken" Matt Hardy. This could mean that WWE has changed their minds on letting Matt use the piano theme on WWE TV.

You can watch a clip from the entrance in which Hardy uses the old Hardy Boyz theme song here below:

Matt made the "Broken Universe" famous during his time in IMPACT Wrestling, as well as working around the world on the independent circuit. After deciding to leave IMPACT the company noted they character was their legal property and Hardy couldn't use it anywhere else - sparking a legal battle.

After nearly a year of disputing with one another in court, Hardy finally obtained the rights to use the gimmick in WWE, who he had signed back with this past April and returned, alongside his brother Jeff, at WrestleMania 33.

What are your thoughts on WWE pulling the "Broken" theme song from Matt Hardy at his recent live event? Do you think that WWE has officially called off using the beloved piano theme that Hardy has used with the character for the past several years? Or is WWE still trying to figure out Matt's theme before tomorrow night's episode of  Monday Night RAW? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
