As well as being one of the best goalkeepers of the Premier League era, Petr Cech has always come across as an absolute gentleman. You’d do well to find anyone with a bad word to say about the Arsenal shot-stopper. He’s conducted himself with the utmost professionalism throughout his career. However, Cech is only human and, like everyone else, he has a breaking point. We saw the 35-year-old angrier than we’ve ever seen him before following Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against West Brom at the Hawthorns this evening.Referee Mike Dean handed West Brom a controversial penalty, just six minutes after Alexis Sanchez had put the visitors 1-0 up with a selected free-kick, and Jay Rodriguez levelled from the spot.

What angry Cech shouted at Mike Dean

Cech was incensed at the full-time whistle and approached Dean to demand an explanation.

He didn’t get one.

Instead, he was shown a yellow card by Dean for questioning his decision.

People on Twitter believe this then led to Cech calling Dean a “f***ing c***” moments later.

Here’s the footage…

You just don’t expect that type of language from Cech, but you can understand why he was so mad.

Arsenal fans, however, loved it...

Cech was still fuming when Sky Sports interviewed him

The former Chelsea star had only marginally calmed down by the time he conducted a post-match interview with Sky Sports.

During the interview, he said he had no idea why the penalty was awarded and revealed Dean offered him no explanation.

Cech added that he was furious with the match official for failing to answer his question and for booking him.

Bad result for the Gunners

Arsenal’s players know how costly tonight’s result could prove in their bid to secure a top-four finish.

The Gunners, following tonight’s draw, currently sit three points outside of the Champions League spots in fifth place.

They have temporarily moved above Tottenham, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side have a game in hand over their local rivals.
