Phil Jones did something hilarious to his hair for Everton vs Man Utd

Another game, another impressive performance from Manchester United's Phil Jones.

The 25-year-old was once an easy target for abuse because of poor performances and injuries, but he's genuinely become a reliable centre-back for Jose Mourinho.

During the 2-0 win over Everton on New Year's Day, Jones was always there to clear up at the back and won the vast majority of his aerial battles from crosses.

So perhaps Sir Alex Ferguson was on to something in 2013 when he boldly claimed Jones had the potential to become a United great.

"Jones, arguably the way he is looking, could be our best ever player," said Fergie four years ago. "I think Jones may be one of the best players we have ever had, no matter where we play him.

"At 21 years of age, he is going to be a phenomenal player. I think he can play anywhere on the pitch.

"He has such a massive influence, with his instinct and reading of the game. He has a drive about him."

Jones will never become United's "best ever player", let's face it, but Ferguson was right about him having drive and an excellent reading of the game.

Everton v Manchester United - Premier League

But despite playing so well against Everton, the England international is currently getting trolled on social media for something fans noticed.

Remember when Jones dyed his hair blonde? Well, he's just gone and done something worse: getting tramlines on the back of his head.

In the tweet below, you can see Jones has had two lines shaved into his hair, but not where people usually get them.

What on earth is he doing? As you can imagine, football fans can't stop laughing at Jones' tramlines and think he doesn't suit them at all.
