Liverpool are absolutely dominating the January transfer window and it's only a couple of days old.
First off, the Reds finally secured Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton for £75 million before the window even opened.
Now though, Jurgen Klopp is hanging onto his prized asset in Philippe Coutinho with Barcelona refusing to give up on bringing the Brazilian to the Camp Nou.
The Spanish heavyweights are set to offer something in the region of £150 million for the talented playmaker, but Liverpool are hopeful they can keep the former Inter Milan man until the end of the season.
The same Brazilian journalist that broke Neymar's move to PSG believes the deal will be done this week while Nike have already advertised Coutinho and Barcelona shirts on their website.
With Naby Keita already confirmed to be heading to Anfield in the summer from RB Leipzig, the club has been exceptionally busy in the past few months.
However, it seems like another deal could be lined up for the summer and if they manage to pull it off, they'll have stolen a march on many of Europe's biggest clubs.
Leon Goretzka is one of the most sought-after midfielders in world football right now and his contract is up with Schalke in the summer.
At just 22-years-old, the German represents a significant coup for whoever can bag him, but it seems like Liverpool have an advantage over their competitors.
How? Jurgen Klopp, of course. Goretzka may have given away his admiration for his compatriot by liking an Instagram post about him.
“Jurgen Klopp passion,” read the post, however, it's worth noting that Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich also liked the post and it's unlikely he has an impending move to Liverpool lined up.
Rumours circulated that Bayern Munich had secured Goretzka's future last week, but both Schalke and Goretzka's agent have moved to deny any deal being done.
With Emre Can out of contract in the summer - also a German who will be 24-years-old in 10 days time - Liverpool would love to find a like-for-like swap in Goretzka and it's no secret that the red half of Merseyside is interested.
Goretzka has six goals in 12 caps for Germany and at 6'2", he is quite the force driving from midfield.
Will we see him plying his trade at Anfield?
