The Los Angeles Clippers have been depleted for much of the year as they have endured another season of bad luck with injuries. That has allowed some of their role players to step up and take on a bigger responsibility and nobody has done that better than Lou Williams. The shooting guard is now representing his sixth NBA team and is having one of his best campaigns. He's averaging 21.4 points, 4.8 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game this year and has been an asset for the Clippers. But with the franchise looking certain to miss the playoffs this year, Williams' name has once again appeared in trade rumors as the team could look to get multiple pieces for him while his stock is high.Since he's going to be a free agent in the summer, trading him before the deadline makes all the sense in the world for Los Angeles. He has been one of the bright spots in a disappointing season for L.A. but his future may lie elsewhere and if they do decide to ship him and bring in some extra pieces, there should be no shortage of suitors for his services. Here are thee teams who should trade for Williams:

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs are extremely light in the guard positions and could do with extra scoring which the 31-year-old provides in his sleep.

Once again, he is one of the best contributors off the bench and is a leading candidate for the Sixth Man of the Year award, as always seems to be the case.

Gregg Popovich's men need some firepower from their second unit and a deal for Williams could provide them with exactly that as he creates instant offense.

This was evidenced by the Clippers' most recent win as he led all scorers with a stunning 40 points off the bench.

Oklahoma City Thunder

You wouldn't expect a team boasting Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul George to be struggling offensively and in need of another scorer but this has proven to be the case this season.

The Thunder have one of the least potent reserve units in the league and the addition of Williams would boost that significantly.

They also have very little production at the starting shooting guard position with Andre Roberson offering nothing offensively and this trade could offer them an opportunity to roll out a lethal offensive lineup.

It could only be a rental but his numbers would certainly benefit a contending team like OKC.

Detroit Pistons

The Pistons have made a strong start to the campaign and currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 20-15 record.

They look destined to return to the playoffs this year but in order to compete and really make some noise in the postseason, they'll need extra scoring and this acquisition would make all the sense in the world for them.

With Reggie Jackson again dealing with health issues - he's been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle sprain - they need a ball-handler to generate their offense and create his own shot. Preferably a player like Lou who can stay on the court.

Possibly doing a straight swap deal and sending Jackson to Staples Center could work for them and it would add another dimension to their team.
