You may have noticed that one of the biggest stars on Monday Night RAW as missing from last night's show - WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore.

Amore was scheduled to defend his championship against No. 1-contender Cedric Alexander on RAW in a match that had been advertised all week since Christmas. Hours before the show, however, Amore took to his Instagram story to announce that he had been hospitalized due to an illness.

He was sent to the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida where he was shown hooked up to an IV. PWInsider broke the story and stated that Amore had fallen ill earlier in the day and was subsequently sent to the hospital.

Amore ended up missing RAW and Alexander instead teamed up with Goldust to take on Amore's cronies, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak. The illness that Amore sustained was possibly the same that affected Braun Strowman.

"The Monster Among Men" was sent home early from WWE's holiday live event tour but was still able to work RAW last night as he defeated Rhyno in singles action and even dropped one of the best lines of his career on the mic when he told Heath Slater to get 'these hands.'

Amore reportedly arrived at the WWE arena an hour before RAW started and tried to plead his case that he could still compete on the show. WWE officials refused to let him wrestle, however, and instead ordered him to return to his hotel room and rest up.

There is currently no news on when his match with Alexander will take place or if he'll be able to appear on tonight's episode of 205 Live after the conclusion of SmackDown Live.

It should be interesting to see if WWE holds out on having the match until the Royal Rumble, however, that's probably not going to happen given it's several weeks away.
