Arsenal and Chelsea went head-to-head on Wednesday night and there was plenty of chances for both sides. It was 0-0 at half-time at the Emirates Stadium, but Alvaro Morata was certainly guilty of missing the best chance when he went through one-on-one with Petr Cech and wastefully caressed the ball wide.Thibaut Courtois made a few great saves to deny the hosts and Alexis Sanchez was left frustrated after hitting both posts before the big Belgian collected the ball. However, it's been a feisty game in the middle of the park too and both sides have been going at it with hammer and tongs to get the advantage.Of course, in Chelsea's midfield, Cesc Fabregas was patrolling against his old side.Opposite the Spaniard was former teammate Jack Wilshere. The two played one full season together back in 2010-11 before Fabregas decided he wanted to return to Barcelona. That was some seven years ago now and they showed that no love was lost when Wilshere crunched into the Chelsea man in the first-half, picking up a yellow card in the process - and the Arsenal fans loved it.As you can see, Fabregas only needed 10 minutes to exact his revenge.

However, it wasn't long before Fabregas got his own back and just 12 minutes later, he left Wilshere in a heap and picked up a caution of his own.

Wilshere was making his sixth start in a row for Arsenal on Wednesday night and he has been operating close to his best form in recent matches.

While England fans are hoping that carries through until the World Cup in Russia, German defender Shkodran Mustafi has also been gushing about how good his teammate has been.

"He has been really playing good football and I am really happy for him because I think he deserves it," said Mustafi.

"He really has been doing good for us and I've been telling him a lot of times when I was not playing and watching him play in the Europa League or the Carabao Cup, that he has been outstanding.

"Even when he hasn't got the ball, the positions that he takes just show you how intelligent he is and how well he understands football.

"In the last games, even when you gave him the ball, he took the right decisions and made the right passes so he has been terrific."
