Over the weekend undefeated UFC lightweight prospect Khabib Nurmagomedov continued his win streak when he defeated Edson Barboza in dominant fashion."The Eagle" used his superior grappling skills and rag dolled the Brazilian in addition to unleashing some nasty ground-and-pound over the course of 25 minutes as well. When all was said and done the Russian emerged as the frontrunner to either sit and wait for the winner of a potential Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson fight, or fight Ferguson for the interim 155-pound title. For some time now a potential match-up between Nurmagomedov and McGregor has been highly-discussed amongst mixed martial arts (MMA) fans.A potential match between the two in Russia has been discussed amongst fans for quite some times, with an interesting match-up stylistically be portrayed if the pair did share the Octagon.Nurmagomedov is a tremendous grappler which is an area that McGregor has shown to struggle in. On the opposite side McGregor is one of the most decorated strikers in the UFC, having ridiculous knockouts under his belt against some of the best the sport has ever seen. The match-up of styles has never been more interesting in MMA, and has never had more on the line either. Recently, UFC light heavyweight champion and Nurmagomedov's fellow AKA teammate, Daniel Cormier, took to Twitter to comment on the possible fight.A fan asked Cormier what chance he gave Khabib over Conor, and "DC" responded with a 70-80 percent answer. He also said that he doesn't think anyone in the world can knockout Khabib:

Cormier is currently scheduled to defend his title against Volkan Oezdemir at UFC 220 on January 20th. It will be his first fight since suffering a knockout loss to Jon Jones last year.

Also on the card will be a heavyweight contest between champion Stipe Miocic and ridiculous knockout artist Francis Ngannou. It is expected to be one of the biggest cards of the year.

What are your thoughts on Cormier saying that McGregor doesn't have what it takes to knockout Khabib Nurmagomedov? Do you think that McGregor has the capabilities to finish the Russian grappler inside the Octagon? Or does "The Eagle" have the Irishman's number when it comes to the fight game? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
