After a summer shrouded in mystery, it looks like Philippe Coutinho's move to Barcelona is really gathering pace.
The Liverpool man has been a target for the La Liga leaders ever since Neymar left for Paris Saint-Germain in a €222m deal.
They may have brought in Ousmane Dembele for around €140m, but they still want to get the Brazilian on their books, with Coutinho seen as a long-term replacement for the legendary Andres Iniesta.
The 25-year-old has been in stunning form for the Reds this season, scoring 12 goals in 20 games and his departure would be a huge blow.
Liverpool are firmly in the race for second place in the Premier and have also qualified for the knockout phases of the Champions League.
Because of this, getting a replacement in should be a priority for Jurgen Klopp and a lot of supporters were hopeful over the capture of Monaco's Thomas Lemar, a player valued at around £90m.
Well, on Wednesday the Ligue 1 side's manager, Leonardo Jardim, said this: "Monaco are not in the habit of making big winter sales. The players understand and know how it goes here."
Ouch, seems like the Frenchman will not be coming to English shores anytime soon.
With very few other players seemingly up for sale in the January market, Liverpool fans have come to the conclusion that Adam Lallana will be the one to replace Coutinho.

They don't sound overly happy about it, do they?
On the face of it, the England international is the ideal replacement, capable of playing on the left of a front three and as a deep-lying playmaker in Klopp's midfield three.
However, no one can deny that the former Southampton man simply does not possess the X-factor that has made Coutinho one of the most sought-after players in European football.
If he can rediscover some of the impressive form he showed last season, Liverpool fans may be proved wrong.
