Speaking to the press on Friday, Chelsea coach Antonio Conte responded to Jose Mourinho's thinly veiled dig at over-exuberant managers.Historically, the pair have a very frosty relationship and their latest public spat won't do much to repair that.Battling for second spot behind runaway league leaders Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are separated by just one point in the Premier League table. The two managers hit the headlines after failing to shake hands in November after Chelsea beat United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.Mourinho was asked by reporters earlier this week if he has lost his enthusiasm for management to which he replied: "Because I don’t behave as a clown on the touchline, it means that I’ve lost my passion?"I prefer to behave the way I’m doing it. Much more mature, better for my team, better for myself."I don’t think you have to behave like a crazy guy on the touchline to have that passion.

Conte hits back

Mourinho did not reference any managers with his 'clown on the touchline' jibe but plenty thought it was a dig at the Chelsea boss and Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp.

Conte couldn't resist responding to the former Chelsea boss and used the Italian phrase "demenza senile" in relation to the Portuguese, which translates as senile dementia.

“I think maybe he was speaking about himself in the past,” Conte said, speaking ahead of Saturday's FA Cup third round tie way at Norwich.

"Sometimes I think there is, I don't know the name, but demenza senile... when you forget what you do in the past."

He makes a very valid point - we have seen some animated behaviour from Mourinho on the touchline over the years.

A Chelsea fan on Twitter selected four of Mourinho's wildest moments.

Conte also hit back at Arsene Wenger after the Frenchman doubled down on his claim that Eden Hazard dived to win a penalty in the 2-2 draw at the Emirates.

"If Wenger watched the game again he would understand he was lucky in the game with the referee’s decisions," he said.

"If I want, I could talk about the refereeing decisions for one month but I don’t want to do this because we must have respect for refereeing decisions.

"He [Wenger] has to accept the decisions."
