The voting for this year's NBA All-Star game is full swing as fans look to get their favorite players to the showpiece event in Los Angeles this year.

The league has released the figures from the opening 12 days of voting and, as you'd expect, the league's top players are already receiving a ton of votes.

The only surprise may be the fact that it's Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way early on ahead of the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry.

You can vote for your favorite players as NBA All-Stars every day HERE. Voting closes on January 15th.

There's no doubt these three superstars will be heading to the All-Star game once again but there are a number of players who are looking to get the nod for the first time.

We should definitely be seeing several players making their All-Star debuts this year due to the way they've performed already this campaign.

Here are five players who deserve to be first-time All-Stars:

Kristaps Porzingis

This shouldn't even be up for debate and if he isn't voted in as a starter, the Latvian is a certainty to be a reserve for the game at Staples Center.

The big man is averaging 23.8 points per game and is also putting up 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.

He has become the franchise player for the New York Knicks and has taken his game to new heights this season and will be a perennial All-Star throughout his career.

Joel Embiid

The center's impact on the Philadelphia 76ers has been incredible and he makes them a different team when he's on the floor.

He has been virtually unguardable all year and is a nightmare for opposing bigs with his ability to score in any way. Embiid is posting 23.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks which are easily All-Star numbers.

In the early ballots, the 23-year-old is third in voting among frontcourt players in the Eastern Conference and has a good chance to be named as a starter thanks to the combination of his popularity and dominance on the court.

Karl-Anthony Towns

The Minnesota Timberwolves man could well have been an All-Star last season but his team's record played a huge factor in him missing out but that can't be held against him this time around.

Towns is a walking double-double as usual and has been a big reason why the T-Wolves are sitting fourth in the west with a 24-16 record.

He's notching 20.1 ppg, 11.5 rpg and 1.6 bpg and is among the best frontcourt players in his conference but is only eighth in the voting so far with 188,240. KAT will face tough competition but his numbers can rival anybody and should land a spot.

Bradley Beal

The Washington Wizards shooting guard is having a career year with 23.4 ppg, 3.6 apg and 4.4 rpg and has become the number one option offensively for his team thanks to his scoring prowess.

The 24-year-old is one of the highest scoring guards in the east and even posted a stunning 51-point game against the Portland Trail Blazers last month.

Beal has shown huge improvement this year and has taken on a leadership role for the Wizards, especially with teammate John Wall battling injuries all season. He should be a shoe-in for a reserve slot among the guards.

Victor Oladipo

Nobody would've expected this at the beginning of the season as the Indiana Pacers were heavily criticized for trading Paul George for Oladipo.

But those critics are now eating their words as the former OKC guard is having a sensational breakout year with career-highs of 24.9 ppg, 3.9 apg and 5.3 rpg.

He's currently third in voting among guards in the east with 251,886 and has been a star for the Pacers all season. There's no doubt he should be part of the All-Star team in L.A. and that may not be his only achievement if he continues in the same vein.
