Jesse Lingard is on a serious hot streak right now.Sir Alex Ferguson accurately predicted in 2012 that the 25-year-old would be a late bloomer and Manchester United fans will feel it’s been worth the wait.Lingard scored his fifth goal in six appearances in last night’s 2-0 win over Derby County in the FA Cup third round, and what a goal it was, too.He needed just one touch to ready himself before letting fly from 20 yards out, the ball flying beyond the helpless Scott Carson. The attacking midfielder’s latest magical moment prompted a series of funny tweets from Man United fans who have taken to calling him ‘Messi Lingard’.One image that’s doing the rounds is of Anthony Martial’s reaction to the goal.

The Frenchman realised just how special Lingard’s 84th minute strike was, pulling the face you make when you just know you’ve witnessed something awesome.

When asked by Lingard on Twitter whether he was impressed, Martial replied: “You can do better 😂”.

What Lukaku said on Lingard's Instagram post

Martial wasn’t the only Man United player who had something to say about Lingard’s goal.

Eagle-eyes fans have spotted the comment left by Romelu Lukaku, who teed up Lingard to score, on his teammate’s Instagram post.

And it’s rather humorous.

“I should be tagged for the assist…. 🙁”, Lukaku wrote, feigning his disapproval at being snubbed by Lingard.

The Belgian’s delight was clear for all to see when he passionately celebrated his goal, which tied a bow on United’s victory at Old Trafford.

It was his first goal in five appearances and Man United supporters hope it’s the start of a Lingard-esque run for Lukaku.

Part of the enthusiam in Lukaku’s celebration stemmed from the possibility of a trip to Dubai.

Jose Mourinho revealed after the match that he and his squad will enjoy a warm-weather trip to Asia if Stoke City, their next opponents in the league, do not draw against Coventry today, which would force their clash with United to be rescheduled.

"Did you see the players celebrating the second goal? Everybody wants to have a week of good training, good facilities, sun,” Mourinho explained.
