Football fans had their say on Ousmane Dembele's Barcelona comeback v Levante

With all the talk of Philippe Coutinho in recent days, many football fans almost forgot about Ousmane Dembele.

The 20-year-old Frenchman became the third most expensive player in world football when he sealed a £105m move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona – Coutinho has now taken his place on the that list.

Sadly, the exciting forward was ruled out for around four months in just his second La Liga appearance vs Getafe.

Barca didn’t seem to miss him too much, assembling a serious advantage at the top of the table and beating bitter rivals Real Madrid 3-0 in El Clasico.

But, Dembele is now back in contention, offering the Blaugrana another exciting attacking dimension and he made his first start of 2018 in the 3-0 win over Levante.

He showed signs of promise but his rustiness was evident for all to see. He was hauled off around the hour mark for Nelson Semedo and the Frenchman’s performance certainly divided opinion on Twitter.

To be fair, you can understand why he’d not be at his sharpest given his injury lay-off.

His brightest moment of the match came in the build-up to Lionel Messi’s opening goal, with his clever footwork instigating the move.

Once Ernesto Valverde gets him firing on all cylinders, Barca really are going to have one hell of a player on their hands.

The 3-0 win over Levante means they have now gone 18 La Liga games without defeat, dropping points on just three occasions.

Messi’s goal was a true work of art, while Luis Suarez and Paulinho also found themselves on the scoresheet once again.

The Argentine superstar has now taken his tally to 16 in the league, with Paulinho himself on seven, just one behind the combined amount scored by Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

That crisis Barca were supposed to be in really does look a distant memory now.
