Philadelphia 76ers fans have been waiting patiently all season to see rookie Markelle Fultz take to the court again and showcase his talents. The number one overall pick has only featured in four games but was bothered by a shoulder injury that eventually led to him undergoing surgery to overcome the issue. In those four outings, the 19-year-old averaged just 19 minutes on the floor and failed to make much impact.Having not played since October, Sixers fans have been wondering whether they would see him in action again this year. The answer appears to be yes as his return is getting closer, according to the team's latest update. The 76ers confirmed that the point guard took part in a full-contact, five-on-five practice over the weekend.Head coach Brett Brown was excited to share the news with reporters after Sunday's shootaround and provided details of the work Fultz had done with the rest of the team."He didn't go through the full practice today, but he went through the large majority of it," he said, per Kyle Neubeck of the Philly Voice."Anything that had transition defense, or playcalls, or slides, or passing drills, he went through the whole thing with relation to me having the ability to do whatever I wanted ... played five-on-five, [got] up and down the floor, in a more detailed, lengthy way."I think that's the thing that stands out the most, that he was just more available to do some things that he had been less available to do in the past.Philadelphia confirmed in early December that his shoulder was back to 100 percent but have been easing him back in slowly. But it now seems that his recovery is being ramped up and we could potentially see the youngster suiting up in the coming weeks. He is set to travel with the rest of the team to London for this week's clash with the Boston Celtics at the O2 Arena. With Philly only scheduled to play one game this week, it'll allow Fultz more time to continue practicing with his teammates and getting back up to speed.Coach Brown has already ruled out the possibility of the Washington product playing any part in London, however. One of the biggest concerns regarding Fultz earlier in the campaign was his awkward free-throw shooting, but that was put down to his nagging shoulder. In the following clip, his form at the line looks a lot better but the franchise will hope he can bring more to the table than just improved foul shots.

He will be an important secondary playmaker and ease the ball-handling responsibilities on Ben Simmons.

The talented guard can add another dimension to the Sixers offense and play a big role in their hopes of making the playoffs in the second half of the season.
