Heavyweight Tyson Fury has announced that he will be making his comeback in April following two and a half years out of the ring. The ‘Gypsy King’ will reapply for his license later today, according to the boxer himself, and there has been much speculation as to who his first fight will be against. There was talk in the tail of end of last year about a possible bout against Anthony Joshua, although that proved to be more hype than reality.Especially as it seems likely that Joshua will be in the ring against New Zealander Joseph Parker in either March or April, and then go on to face American Deontay Wilder. However, two other names that have been doing the rounds over the last few months as possible opponents for the comeback fight are American Shannon Briggs and Brit David Price.Briggs had some harsh words for Fury last year when there was talking about the ‘Gypsy King’ going into the ring against Joshua.Let’s just say that Briggs wasn’t exactly complementary towards the 29-year-old from Wythenshawe, but they are certainly worth revisiting.“Fury isn’t to be talked about, Fury is nothing. Fury is fat, out of shape.” Briggs vented“He’s lost a little bit of weight – I’ve seen a before and after about 30 days ago – he’s trying but I think he’s BSing.“I don’t think he’s really going to fight, what he’s doing now is getting a little bit of attention, he’ll go into a crying fit and say this and that. He’ll go into a rant and lose it all again.”The build up to Shannon Briggs vs Tyson Fury would be entertaining to say the least, as it would be if it was against Dillian Whyte or Deontay Wilder.Fury decided to ask his fans on Twitter who they would like to see the 29-year-old fight for his comeback, and there have been hundreds of responses. This just shows that in fans' eyes at least, Fury has a host of options.

“Who does the boxing fans think I should fight in April after 2.5 years out the ring?” Fury tweeted.

As entertaining as the run up for Shannon Briggs would be – there is another option closer to home, David Price.

Price is a 34-year-old from Liverpool who won the bronze medal at Beijing before he decided to turn professional and had his last fight against Christian Hammer in August last year.

The 34-year-old is an option, but is he high profile enough for Fury though?
