The Raw 25 show, which will celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw, is only a couple of weeks away now, so more and more names are being confirmed for the special event.

Several superstars and legends from WWE's past have been confirmed for the show including the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, The Bella Twins, D-Generation X, and many more.

This has led to speculation regarding the in-ring future of some of these superstars, more specifically, The Phenom, as it has been heavily rumored that he could have another match at this year's WrestleMania in New Orleans against John Cena.

Many fans believed The Undertaker had his last match in the WWE at last year's WrestleMania, as he left his iconic hat, coat, and gloves in the middle of the ring after his loss against Roman Reigns. However, WWE is yet to confirm that The Undertaker has actually retired.

Now, recent news about The Deadman could be an indication that he is yet to retire from in-ring action, as according to PWInsider, The Undertaker was backstage at Tuesday night's SmackDown Live taping in Birmingham, Alabama. Several fans spotted him at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport as well.

There are a number of speculated reasons as to why The Undertaker was backstage at SmackDown Live last night in Birmingham, Alabama, but the most logical reason is that Birmingham is where superstars are sent to when they need to see WWE’s orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews.

If The Undertaker was in Birmingham to check in with Dr. Andrews and get the final clearance to wrestle, then it’s very likely that he’s preparing for another match at WrestleMania in New Orleans this April, potentially against John Cena.

There have been rumors as well he could pair up with Kane in a tag team match as The Brothers of Destruction. Who they would face though remains a mystery for now.

Whatever the case is, The Undertaker being backstage at SmackDown this week is a very promising sign, but we might not find out much more about his future in the WWE until the 25th Anniversary of Raw takes place on January 22.
