Midfielder Stefan Oakes has had his contract with Lincoln cancelled by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old, who was signed by former manager Peter Jackson in the summer of 2008, made 47 league and cup appearances for the Imps, the last of which came against Accrington in a League Two match on February 16.

A statement on the club's official website said: "We thank him for his efforts whilst at Sincil Bank and wish him all the best for is future career."
