Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball showed the good and the bad sign to his game in the team's 99-86 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.Ball finished the night with five points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as he highlighted his unique but equally frustrating playing style. He fell short of a triple-double by failing to record double digits in possibly the easiest stat to fill as he shot just 2-of-11 from the field and 1-of-7 from three-point range. His shooting woes were evident once again and it continues to be the biggest flaw in his game.Because of his shooting struggles, he had to settle for an uncommon double-double instead which was the first of its kind in a Purple and Gold uniform for almost a decade.According to ESPN Stats and Info, the point guard became the first Lakers player with a double-double that did not include points since Lamar Odom in 2008.

In that game, Odom posted his own 11-assist, 11-rebound double-double, scoring just two points against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Lonzo has already notched two triple-doubles this season but he ranks second among rookies behind the Philadelphia 76ers' Ben Simmons who's tallied four.

His double-double was the ninth of his career so far and head coach Luke Walton credited Lonzo for inspiring their win over the Kings as he got his teammates involved with some impressive playmaking.

"He creates our pace for us," Walton said, per ESPN. "He makes winning plays for us. He gets other people easy shots, so he impacted the game on both ends of the floor and was a big part of why we won tonight."

L.A. secured its second straight win after going through a nine-game losing streak.

Julius Randle produced a monster performance as he posted 22 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists on the night.

But Walton was not overly satisfied with the win as his team committed 26 turnovers and took their foot off the gas after generating a large 18-point lead in the first quarter and letting the Kings cut into the deficit.

"We're trying to play a certain way and have a certain standard," Walton said. "We've been struggling. We will take a win when we can get it, but it just doesn't feel the same way as when you play the game the right way throughout."

The 13-27 Lakers will look to secure a third straight win when they host the San Antonio Spurs at Staples Center on Thursday night.
