Heat secure dramatic win over Raptors; Blazers beat OKC; Lakers ease past Kings

Miami Heat v Washington Wizards

Wayne Ellington's driving layup with 0.3 seconds remaining gave the Miami Heat a dramatic 90-89 win over the Toronto Raptors to end their 12-game winning streak at home.

The Heat were led in scoring by Goran Dragic who posted 24 points as well as 12 rebounds. Hassan Whiteside (13 and 15) and rookie Bam Adebayo (16 and 15) also recorded double-doubles.

In a heated affair, both Serge Ibaka and James Johnson were ejected in the third quarter after a physical altercation on the floor.

The Portland Trail Blazers secured their third straight win as they impressively beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 117-106 on the road.

With All-Star Damian Lillard missing with a calf strain, a number of players stepped up for the Blazers as C.J. McCollum led the way with 27 points and seven assists.

Shabazz Napier added 21 points and big man Jusuf Nurkic continued his strong recent form with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Russell Westbrook had a near triple-double of 22 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists but he shot just 7-of-20 from the field in another disappointing loss.

The Dallas Mavericks cruised to a 114-99 victory over the Orlando Magic thanks to big performances from point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and Dirk Nowitzki who each put up a team-high 20 points.

Julius Randle (22 points & 14 rebounds) and Lonzo Ball (11 assists & 11 rebounds) each posted a double-double as the Los Angeles Lakers easily beat the Sacramento Kings 99-86 at Staples Center.
