Matt Hardy had some wonderful news to share with his fans on social media on Wednesday afternoon.

If you recall, The Hardys have been in a legal battle with Anthem, which owns Impact Wrestling, since leaving the company over the Broken gimmick.

Hardy did some wonderful things during his time with TNA Wrestling (now known as Impact Wrestling). He had some highlights and some downfalls during his run with the promotion over the last seven years. He joined the company after having a lengthy stint with WWE.

Towards the end of this run with the promotion, he decided to make a big change to his character. This would be a make or break decision for his career.

Luckily for him, it paid off big and turned TNA around for a bit. The character brought attention to TNA that it had not seen in years.

During a feud with his younger brother Jeff, they did an angle in which Matt slowly but surely became broken.

The former Raw Tag Team Champion started working, talking, and acting differently not only on television but on social media and in interviews. It was truly something different from what the fans came to know him as. It paid off, to say the least.

However, his run came to an end with TNA after having some contract disputes. The Hardy Boyz would leave the promotion and work indie shows as well have a brief run in Ring of Honor.

There was much debate whether The Hardys would return to WWE, which that brought them to superstardom as their original gimmick or the new Broken universe. When they returned at WrestleMania 33 in April in Orlando, Florida, they were not broken but rather had their old gimmicks.

However, Hardy has pushed through and recently showed off his Woken character on WWE television during his feud with Bray Wyatt.

The battle over the rights to the Broken Universe is over because Matt and Jeff Hardy are once again able to use their characters now that Matt has acquired the rights from Anthem.

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that the two sides finally came to a mutual agreement that allows the Hardy brothers to use their Broken Universe characters in the future. It should be noted that the terms of the deal are unclear.

Hardy tweeted out the following with Impact Wrestling President Ed Nordholm:

“I am thrilled to PROCLAIM that we have ACQUIRED new ALLIES on our side of #TheGreatWar.”

Ed Nordholm & The Owl of Anthem have revealed themselves as MAJESTIC beings who stand on the side of the LIGHT. The LIGHT always EMERGES, #WOKENWarriors. Everything is COPASETIC & WONDERFUL!”
