The Royal Rumble pay-per-view takes place in just a matter of weeks and this week on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live, WWE has been filling up the match card, as well as spots in both the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches. However, there are still plenty of spaces left in both matches.

Alongside the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches, WWE has matches on the Rumble card for the Universal Championship, WWE Championship, Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championship, and the finals of the United States Championship tournament.

In the men's Royal Rumble, 11 of the 30 spots have been taken, while 17 of the 30 spots in the women's Royal Rumble have been filled up, but there is still plenty of room in both matches for more superstars to be added before the show takes place on January 28 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

In recent weeks, one superstar’s status for the Women’s Royal Rumble match has been up in the air, as Paige has been out of action for the company since picking up a neck injury during a recent WWE live event.

The Leader of Absolution suffered a stinger after she was kicked in the back of her neck by Sasha Banks during a match at a WWE house show at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island two weeks ago. The match was a six-woman tag team match of Absolution members Paige, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville vs Banks, Bayley, and Mickie James.

Paige hasn't worked in the ring for WWE since the incident and, according to NoDQ, it looks like she is not going to be cleared in time to compete in the women's Royal Rumble match. Her head injury is said to be worse than initially thought, but there is a chance she could be cleared in time for the pay-per-view on January 28.

The Raven-Haired Renegade missed most of 2017 after she had neck surgery in October 2016, and her recent push as the leader of Absolution has helped revitalized her WWE career after so much time away, but this recent injury is a tad concerning since it's a neck injury.

Fingers crossed Paige is able to return in time to be part of the first-ever women's Royal Rumble in WWE history, as it will be such a shame if she was to miss out.
