Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele has extended his loan stay at Northampton until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old joined the League Two club in February and after a string of fine performances will now remain with Ian Sampson's men until May.
Steele, who has so far made five appearances for the Cobblers, has played a vital part in the club's promotion push as they currently sit just outside the play-off positions.
Manager Ian Sampson was full of praise for the youngster following Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Lincoln after he made an outstanding injury-time save to ensure a point.
Sampson said: "It was a great fingertip save from Jason at the end, it saved us from defeat."
