Winger Angel Di Maria has dismissed reports linking him with a move away from Benfica.

Reports in recent weeks have claimed that both Manchester United and Chelsea are in hot pursuit of the highly rated winger who is becoming one of Europe’s most wanted players.

However, the 22 year-old has played down any speculation linking him with a big money move to England saying:

"I am not interested in the rumours - in England they look through everything with a magnifying glass but I don't have to worry about it.

"At the moment I am only interested in Benfica and I think we can win anywhere in Europe."

Di Maria’s comments is unlikely to deter the Premier League duo who both have significant funds available to spend on new players this summer.

Di Maria will line-up for Benfica when they face Liverpool at Anfield in the Europa League tonight.

The Argentina international will face fellow compatriots Javier Mascherano and Maxi Rodiguez and said, "It makes this one even more intense and exciting."
