Is there a better striker in world football right now than Tottenham's Harry Kane? Probably not.

Luis Suarez, Robert Lewandowski and Edinson Cavani are his closest competitors when it comes to out and out centre forwards, but the England man managed to outscore them all in the 2017.

Of course, the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar mean that becoming the finest in the game will be an enormous challenge for Kane.

Much of his success at Spurs has been down to how he has linked up with the forward players around him like Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen.

But, who would be Kane's ideal choice for a partner up top? Well, he's made a very interesting selection.

KANE'S IDEAL PARTNER

He could have gone for Messi or CR7, however, England's main man has opted for a true Brazilian legend; Ronaldo Nazario.

When asked by ESPN Brasil who he'd pick, Kane said: "Brazilian Ronaldo. His ability, his all-round game was incredible. He had everything: pace, power, finishing, skills, passing.

"I didn't get to watch a lot of him of TV growing up but when I've watched YouTube and highlights of clips from the past, I'd have loved to have played alongside him."

So, there you have it.

The thought of Kane and Ronaldo together as a partnership would be enough to give any top defender true nightmares.

The Brazilian icon is often mentioned in a similar bracket to both Messi and CR7, with most suggesting that had it not been for his serious knee injuries, he could have been the greatest of them all.

As for Kane, he may soon follow in Ronaldo's footsteps and join Real Madrid, with rumours constantly linking the Englishman to the La Liga giants.

Kane himself has said that he's happy to stay at Spurs if they can win trophies, so it is up to Mauricio Pochettino to deliver for his talisman.
