Liverpool just can't get themselves out of the transfer spotlight, can they?

After signing Virgil van Dijk for £75m, Jurgen Klopp's side finally caved in and sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for a cool £145m.

Now, the narrative is shifted to who the Reds will try and bring in to replace the Brazilian, with RB Leipzig's Naby Keita one name that just won't stop cropping up.

Liverpool have already arranged a deal for the highly-rated Guinean midfielder, agreeing a deal for an initial fee of £48m back in the summer with the Bundesliga side.

But, given the fact they have lost one of their major midfield options, the Reds are now determined to bring the 22-year-old in early.

Talks between the two parties have begun but no deal has been reached so far.

Clearly, Liverpool know just how good Keita is and fans are sure to have seen a number of compilations across Twitter and YouTube highlighting that he really is the complete midfield package.

And now, a new video is doing the rounds across social media of Keita during his teenage years with FC Istres in France.

At such a tender age, the Guinean star still looks the real deal and it makes for quite a fascinating watch.

VIDEO: YOUNG KEITA DOING BITS

He's not bad, is he?

His all-action style, combined with enormous amounts of skill, is exactly what Liverpool's midfield needs.

With Emre Can likely to follow Coutinho out the exit door next summer, Keita's addition will be crucial if they are to challenge for major honours in 2018/19.

WILL KEITA JOIN IN JANUARY?

There were suggestions that the midfielder would play his last game for Leipzig vs Schalke on the weekend but as of yet, there have been no concrete reports in the English media to support this claim.

He has apparently caused a bit of a ruckus in training and perhaps, it might be in the club's best interest to offload him and get some more money in the process.
