With Alexis Sanchez being left out of Arsenal's squad for the trip to Bournemouth on Sunday, fans are coming to terms with the fact that they're losing their star player.
Manchester City were thought to be the forward's preferred destination, but reports this week suggest that rivals Manchester United or Liverpool could hijack a move.
The Gunners are asking for £35 million to part with Sanchez, a price City are not willing to pay as they were almost guaranteed to get him for free next summer.
But with United and Liverpool apparently willing to meet that price, City could lose out altogether.
Arsenal though, won't be too bothered where Sanchez ends up, as long as they get a good price for him. The Chilean won't be stopped from leaving, so the smart thing to do would be to cash in.
Because if they do, Arsene Wenger could set his sights on landing a replacement in the January transfer window.
A number of names have been tipped to replace Sanchez, but it's thought the most likely to do so would be Bordeaux forward Malcom.
The 20-year-old has become one of Europe's hottest prospects, with his French club reportedly demanding £45 million to sell, according to the Daily Mail.
And with Arsenal likely to get £35 million for Sanchez in this window, the club could more than afford Malcom's fee.
In fact, judging by pictures posted on social media, it appears the Brazilian is very close to finalising his move to north London already.
French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, who works for Canal Plus and Eurosport, has posted an image of Malcom and his agent on social media.
The caption he posted translates to "Malcom (Bordeaux) is with his agent Conarcini to finalize his transfer to Arsenal!"
And it's fair to say Arsenal fans are excited by that tweet, with some taking to Twitter themselves to react.
It appears that Sanchez is undoubtedly heading to the Emirates exit door, but if Wenger can bring in Malcom to replace him this January, the Gunners still have a chance of success this season.
