Manchester City will not be going the entire Premier League season unbeaten.Pep Guardiola’s side travelled to Anfield and left empty-handed after losing out during a 4-3 thriller.Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had given the Reds an early lead but they were pegged back by Leroy Sane just before half-time.And in the early stages of the second-half, it looked as though City would step up a gear and seemed most likely to score the next goal. But the match changed when Roberto Firmino made it 2-1 in the 59th-minute. The Brazilian out-muscled John Stones and finished brilliantly over the onrushing Ederson. And Liverpool fans were still celebrating when Sadio Mane made it 3-1.Just like he did against Burnley, Mane let fly with his left foot on the edge of the box and saw his shot fly into the roof of the net.

WHAT MARTIN TYLER SAID

It was 3-1 and it looked to be game over.

But it was Martin Tyler’s commentary that had a lot of fans talking.

The commentator shouted: “Mane, payback time for the red card!”

Of course, Mane was sent off against City earlier in the season after catching Ederson in the face with his studs.

And football fans couldn’t quite believe that Tyler claimed it was “payback” for such a horrendous tackle.

FOOTBALL FANS REACT

The reaction saw Tyler trending on Twitter after the match. Just check out what football fans were saying:

After Mane’s strike, things got even better for Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah made it 4-1 shortly afterward but Liverpool had to hold on thanks to late goals from Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.
