What a game.Liverpool and Manchester City took part in the game of the season at Anfield on Sunday evening, with Jurgen Klopp's side emerging 4-3 winners. The Reds finally brought Pep Guardiola's 30-game domestic unbeaten run to an end and in truth, the winning margin should have been more.Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored the goals for Liverpool, while Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan made things interesting for the visitors. But, Klopp's side managed to seal a priceless three points which makes them overwhelming favourites to claim a Champions League spot for a second consecutive season. The Liverpool boss was, of course, a passionate mess on the touchline throughout the 90 minutes and at the end of the match, his reaction to the result was simply priceless.Just a word of warning, he may use an expletive.

VIDEO: KLOPP'S BRILLIANT REACTION

Classic Klopp.

The win was a huge statement from the club after Philippe Coutinho departed for Barcelona in a £142m deal.

KLOPP SIMPLY LOVED THE GAME

The manager said: "You can watch it as a manager or as a football fan and I prefer to do that - wow! What a game! Two teams, full throttle.

"This was a historical game you will talk about in 20 years because it looks like City will not lose another one this year.

"People watched this game all over the world and this is why - take your heart, throw it on the pitch and play like this, both teams.

"We played, I don't know which level, caused them problems like hell. I was not scared at the end, not that I didn't think we could concede a fourth, I have known my boys long enough now, it was so intense.

"If you combine quality with attitude you see a game like this. I really loved it.

"You will find someone who wants to talk about defending, no clean sheet, but he can blow up my boots."

Well said Jurgen, well said.
