Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson was a star performer once again as Jurgen Klopp's side beat Manchester City 4-3 in a thrilling Premier League encounter. The 23-year-old Scottish international was signed from Hull City for £10m in the summer and has been given his chance in the first team following Alberto Moreno's ankle injury.Robertson looks to be making the left-back slot his own after some incredible performances under Klopp's guidance.Moreno, 25, is a constant threat going forward but has repeatedly been found out defensively during his three-and-a-half years at Anfield.Liverpool fans have quickly warmed to Robertson, who appears to be a far more reliable left-back than his teammate. He was delighted to hear the Kop singing his name on Sunday afternoon.“Just after we scored the fourth, I’d won a couple of tackles and to hear them sing your name it’s always nice, especially [from] the Kop, the noise they make,” Robertson said.“It started getting going and it gives you goosebumps.“I can’t thank them enough for the support they’ve shown me from day one.”When people come to Anfield, you know what the atmosphere’s going to be like and I thought today was the best I’ve played in.”His individual highlights against Man City show just how brilliant he truly was - it's no wonder the fans were singing his name.

John Arne Riise's tweet about Robertson

Riise, considered one of Liverpool's greatest ever left-backs, has been vocal about Alberto Moreno during the Spaniard's time on Merseyside.

The retired Norwegian full back gave his opinion on Robertson in the aftermath of the exhilarating 4-3 win.

Renowned for his traction engine of a left foot, Riise spent seven years at Liverpool, winning an FA Cup, a League Cup and, most famously, a UEFA Champions League winners medal.

Liverpool fans on social media loved his tweet about Robertson.

Robertson has made eight of his ten Premier League starts since the beginning of December and Moreno will have to do something special to get his place back.
