On-loan midfielder Jordan Mutch is hopeful he can gain more playing time at Doncaster after he extended his time with Rovers.

The 18-year-old, who has already made 11 appearances for Sean O'Driscoll's side this term, agreed this week to stay until the end of the season. The Birmingham youngster admits he has found life tough at times but is grateful for some first-team football.

Mutch said: "I think being here and being involved at first-team level both helped in terms of selection and the way that I played."

He added: "Obviously I'd love to start every week at Doncaster, but I'm only 18 and I can't rush things. I've got to be patient and hopefully sooner or later I'll get my chance again.

"I've learned a lot about Championship football and I'm getting to know what it is all about."
