Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is getting closer to a ring return, and is full of confidence, as usual.

More than two years after he surprisingly beat Wladimir Klitschko for the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, Lineal and The Ring Heavyweight titles, Fury has been out of action ever since.

During the same period of time we have witnessed the rise of heavyweight division's current superstar - Anthony Joshua, who also defeated Klitschko via TKO last year.

So boxing fans, and especially the British ones, are anticipating a clash between the two of them. One which promoter Eddie Hearn insisted will happen later this year.

Fans are eager to see what would Fury look like and behave when he returns to the ring, but the man himself believes the result is merely a formality.

In fact, Fury is predicting their clash to be over within four rounds.

"I'm going to make this bold statement - if I get the AJ fight, I'm going to make it a 4 round fight,"  Fury told Pound for Pound Podcast, as per The Sun.

"Either he's going to go or I'm going to go, he can't underestimate my power and my size and my strength.

"I may not look like a body builder and I probably can’t lift heavy weights, but you get in front of me and you’ll see how strong I am, when I can push and shove and pull you all over the ring.

"I don’t look for power in my fight’s, I never do, I never look to load up, I always box and move and slip and slide," Fury added.

“Because at the end of the day it’s the sweet science, but in the AJ fight I want to make it a 4 round fight.

“I want to make it a war, I want to make it a Tommy Hearns vs Marvin Hagler remake, but heavyweight division.

“Either I’ll go to sleep or he will go to sleep.

“And to be honest, I don’t give a flying f*** If it’s me or him - someone’s going.

“If I want to look for power, Emanuel Steward said I was right up there with Wladimir Klitschko."

We will have to wait and see whether Fury is right. He is yet to be given a new boxing licence and will need to be granted one be he can make his comeback.

Joshua, on the other hand, will be fighting unbeaten WBO champion Joseph Parker on March 31.

But Fury has taken it as a mission to prove the boxing world that Joshua is beatable.

“I want to show everybody that Anthony Joshua ain’t invincible, he ain’t some big unbearable man, he’s just a big man who can get knocked out and I want to show everybody that I’m the one who’s going to do it to him.

“From round one I’m going to go straight at him and put it straight on him because if I start boxing and moving it’s a no contest, he ain’t got no chance."

“People don’t want to see that. People want to see fireworks and Tyson Fury of 2018 wants to give them fireworks.

“They clearly don’t appreciate sweet-science which would be a no contest, it’ll probably be a boring fight if I slowed the pace right down and do what I want to do."
