Unbeaten world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker is set to face Britain's superstar Anthony Joshua at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on March 31.

Ahead of a press conference where the pair will go head-to-head for the first time, the New Zealander sat down to have an interview and photo session with Daily Mail, where he spoke on all kind of subjects including his passion for exotic cuisine, his hobbies, childhood and the path to where he stands now.

There are plenty of similarities between the two undefeated heavyweights: tough childhoods, a hard journey to the top, strong personalities, humble and a strong upbringing.

One thing that sets them apart, though, is Parker's close friendship with Tyson Fury.

Although Parker is the huge underdog for the fight in Cardiff, some predict he will bring the upset and beat Joshua, including - believe it or not -  Fury.

Fury and Parker have spoken about their mutual respect for each other multiple times and even performed the haka dance together after Parker beat Hughie Fury, Tyson's cousin, last September.

"He's so fun, relaxed, chilled and cool to hang out with," Parker says on Fury.

"I still consider him a champion because he didn't lose his belts to anyone and I think when he does come back, if I still have the belt or have a chance to fight him, I would love to fight him."

And Parker has revealed he is even considering giving Fury a special role for the March 31 showdown vs Joshua.

"I might give him a text and say: "Bro do you want to walk in with me?" He may just walk in with me or he may just sit in the front and watch the fight. But I know I have a lot of support from Tyson which is pretty awesome."

Now that would add a whole new dimension to the encounter, with the winner extremely likely to face off against Fury later down the line.

Once the first bell rings, however, Parker and Joshua will be all by themselves. Anyway, this isn`t something that bothers or scares the underdog whatsoever.

"I don't care if I win or lose, I just love the challenge of fighting someone like (Joshua). Champion against champion to see who the real champion is. There's no anger, no hate, no animosity. Everything is about fighting and being the best."
