One of the biggest names that could potentially make a move before next month's trade deadline is Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan. The big man is set to become a free agent in the summer and his future could lie away from L.A.It has been reported that the Clippers have been actively shopping the 29-year-old and have engaged in trade discussions with several teams. One of those teams is believed to be the Cleveland Cavaliers who are looking to be one of the biggest players prior to the deadline.According to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Los Angeles will be willing to do a deal if the Cavs are prepared to give up the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round pick they acquired from the Boston Celtics in the Kyrie Irving trade. But the Cavaliers are reportedly not willing to part ways with that pick as they prefer to keep it as insurance if they lose LeBron James in the offseason.Jordan has multiple suitors but he has his eyes on one team in particular, according to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. On the network's popular debate show 'First Take', Smith claimed that the All-Star wants to be traded to the Houston Rockets to be reunited with his former teammate Chris Paul.

This revelation came a day after the Clippers and Rockets met at Staples Center in a heated encounter which led to altercations both on and off the court between several players.

With tensions running high between both teams at the moment, a deal to send Jordan to Houston to boost Paul's chances of winning a championship would seem very slim indeed.

The veteran is a native of H-Town and went to college at Texas A&M, so it's no surprise that he prefers to go back to his hometown and feature for one of the top teams in the west.

But with Clint Capela occupying the center position and playing so well for the Rockets on a reasonable contract, it wouldn't make sense for the franchise to make a move for him and trade away valuable assets to make it work.

There's no doubt, however, that Jordan can make a huge difference to many teams across the league. He's averaging 11.8 points, 14.9 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game this season.

He's still one of the best defenders and rim protectors in the league and should be highly coveted.

It'll be interesting to see if he sees out the campaign with the Clippers but it's already clear that he has his sights set elsewhere.
