Who needs Philippe Coutinho when you've got Roberto Firmino?

There were fears Liverpool would greatly miss Coutinho following his £142 million move to Barcelona, but Sunday's 4-3 win over Manchester City showed that won't be the case.

Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane tormented City's defence from start to finish, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Emre Can and Georginio Wijnaldum bossed it in midfield.

Liverpool fans went particularly crazy for Firmino's goal when the Brazilian brushed aside John Stones before delicately chipping the ball over Ederson.

That was Firmino's 10th Premier League goal in a season where the striker has really come into his own and become one of Liverpool's most important players.

Indeed, according to Jamie Carragher, the striker should be the first name on Jurgen Klopp's team sheet every week.

"We are talking about one of the most underrated players in the Premier League," said Carragher. "He's very highly rated here by the manager.

"I would say he is the first name on the team sheet. His hold up play, his work off the ball and now getting goals, he is one of the top attacking players in the Premier League."

Firmino has been all smiles this season and it's clear to see he's enjoying his football based on his eccentric goal celebrations.

Even when a teammate scores, Firmino always has a special celebration in store and most recently he's been doing kung-fu kicks.

During the 5-1 win over Brighton, for example, the 26-year-old marked Coutinho's free-kick with a kung-fu kick, which you can see in the video below at 1:50.

FIRMINO'S KUNG-FU KUCK

So what's the reason for these kung-fu kicks? Well, it turns out Firmino is very acrobatic and actually used to celebrate goals by doing back-flips, which he hasn't done in four years.

"When I was a kid, I used to do a goal celebration that was a back-flip," Firmino told Liverpool's official website. "I did it a lot when I was younger.

"It's something I wanted to do [again], but maybe it's best not to try! I did it up to four years ago, but not anymore!"

Who knew Firmino could do back-flips? Maybe one day he'll treat us all to a back-flip celebration at Anfield.
