Anthony Joshua has stated that all the talk about a possible fight with Tyson Fury has diminished his interest in the bout.

The 29-year-old also went on to say that he is in fact "a bit bored" of all the speculation.

With Fury still working towards making a return to action, Joshua's interest in the fight seems to have dwindled.

Asked about his next potential fight, Joshua said: "Not so much Fury anymore because I'm a bit bored of the talking.

"I just want to see him get back in action and sometimes I say the right thing and I say I'm looking forward to him getting back and other times I say I just can't be bothered because it's just an ongoing situation."

Joshua has grown frustrated with Fury's delayed return to the ring and believes that his compatriot has only himself to blame for the two-and-a-half-year absence.

"For me, when I won the championship belt, I stayed active and carried on progressing and he didn't. It's a shame because these are like his glory days now.

"It's his decision to not box. No one forced him not to box it was his decision he had two rematches scheduled with Klitschko he didn't take the fights, he's been inactive for two and a half years.

"Should the whole boxing industry stop and wait for him? He hasn't addressed his situations properly. I'm not going to stop my career. I'm going to keep on rocking and rolling."

Joshua no longer believes that Fury is a top contender despite his triumphant victory over Wladimir Klitschko back in November of 2015.

He added: "Remember, people forget before the Klitschko fight, Fury wasn't regarded as an exciting fighter or the man of boxing.

"His talking gained him the respect recently and the adversity he has faced has gained him a lot more attention than his boxing style.

"He even struggled to sell out the Manchester Arena [in the proposed Klitschko rematch].

"When you say 'I have to beat the man,' I don't really think he is [it]."
