The word strange is the best way to describe Cristiano Ronaldo's form in 2017/18.

The Real Madrid superstar has been heckled for his output in La Liga, scoring just four times as Los Blancos sit 19 points behind bitter rivals Barcelona.

However, in the Champions League, he has been a completely different animal, scoring nine times in the six group stage games.

He's also been voted into the UEFA Team of the Year and managed to earn his fifth Ballon d'Or award, moving level with Lionel Messi.

Yet, much of the talk of late has been of his desire to finally leave the Spanish capital, with Ronaldo reportedly unhappy with his current deal, mainly due to the enormous contracts Neymar (PSG) and Messi (Barca) have both recently signed.

The talk surrounding the 32-year-old is probably not helping the team's plight, so what do Madrid fans think of their Portuguese talisman right now?

Well, according to Spanish publication AS, they're not exactly warming to him.

Out of the 125,000 Los Blancos supporters that voted whether they wanted him to stay or go, a whopping 67.5% chose the former.

Yes, that's right, two thirds of their fan base now would be happy to see Ronaldo sold.

His current contract runs until 2021, with an enormous release clause, so selling him would depend entirely on Madrid's president Florentino Perez.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE 'CAN'T SEE' RONALDO EXIT

The French manager said recently: "I always say the same thing, I do not see a Madrid without Cristiano."

He has scored 422 goals in just 418 games and it is only inevitable that he will get back to his best very soon.

Zidane added: "We know what is discussed, but what Cristiano has to do is think about playing, as always.

"I just want to talk about his performance and what he can bring to the team on the pitch.

"Cristiano is a part of this club, where he belongs. The club, the fans, everyone loves him.

"The sporting side is the one that I am interested in. I do not want to talk about the contract and those things."
