Giroud's agent on a Giroud-Aubameyang swap deal

The French striker, who has started just one Premier League game this season, is still hoping to secure a spot in the 2018 World Cup squad.

Firmly behind Lacazette in the pecking order in north London, Giroud's agent, Michael Manuello, has suggested the 31-year-old could potentially move to Dortmund as part of the Aubameyang deal.

Manuello said: "Today it is just rumours but tomorrow it could become a reality. Maybe."

Very cryptic indeed.

Aubameyang is reportedly valued at £60m so Arsenal would likely need to stump up some cash as well to make this deal happen.

Giroud would be unable to play in the Europa League but would surely welcome the opportunity to become the first choice striker in Dortmund.

"He [Giroud] listens, looks and after he will see," said Manuello last week.

"Leaving to leave has no use. It has to be coherent and it gives him something more.

"He will have playing time at Arsenal, the second part of the season is important, with competitions to play, even if he is only the Europa League.

"The clubs in Turkey? That does not interest him. China either. Leaving to earn more money is not what's important in his state of mind."

An agreement between Arsenal and Dortmund for Aubameyang's transfer is yet to be reached but Giroud's inclusion would surely sweeten the deal.
