Lots of impact plays and emotions running high throughout the day.A close game from beginning to end, Kyrgios held on for the victory over his childhood idol and thwarted Tsonga's comeback in the process. In the midst of all the action, there was a bit of controversy during the game's fourth set.Well, we say controversy, but luckily for the officials it was turned into a highly entertaining and hilarious moment shared between the two players. After Tsonga seemingly struck one of the shots of the tournament, the line judge called it out, much to the surprise of the Frenchman, the commentators, and even Kyrgios himself.

After noticing that it was given out, the hometown favourite even told his opponent to challenge the call because it was in.

He was right, Tsonga challenged, and won the point.

Despite the setback for Kyrgios, he kept at it and deuled it out with Tsonga in an outstanding finish, resulting in a victory for the Aussie in his native tournament.

Though he is controversial in his sport, the fans cannot deny that this was some of the best tennis Kyrgios has played to date.

He will now move on to face the Bulgarian third seed Grigor Dimitrov in the last 16.
