Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United is imminent. The Arsenal forward has agreed personal terms with the Red Devils which will see him earn £450,000-per-week over four-and-a-half years, per the Mail.Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to head the other way and it’s been reported that part of the reason Arsenal have agreed to sell Sanchez is because they want Mkhitaryan. It brings to an end a move that seemed inevitable once Arsenal made clear that Sanchez could be available in January. Manchester City were once the heavy favourites to sign him - they nearly did last summer - but Jose Mourinho swooped and he’s about to land his first signing of 2018.According to the Mirror, Arsenal will press ahead with their plans to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang once Sanchez departs and Mkhitaryan arrives.Sanchez was named in Arsenal’s squad for today’s match against Crystal Palace and it was thought that he could even be on the bench. But according to the Mirror, a dramatic development that means that will no longer be the case.

There's been a big development

According to John Cross, Sanchez received a call and said goodbye to his teammates at just before 11pm on Friday night. The 29-year-old then swiftly left the team hotel in London.

It suggests the deal will finally go through this weekend.

The Mirror’s report goes on to claim that Arsenal and Man United are prepared to do two separate deals to sort out the Sanchez and Mkhitaryan situation.

It was thought that a straight swap would happen but different valuations and contracts have complication the deal.

That has caused the hold-up. So, instead of a single player-plus-cash transaction, two separate deals will be made.

Man United fans react

Arsenal want the deal to be completed in the next few days as they look to sign Aubameyang from Dortmund.

The Gabon international has been left out of Dortmund’s squad for their past two matches and the Bundesliga side could sell if Arsenal offer Olivier Giroud in return.

Replacing Sanchez, a player who was set to leave for a free in the summer, with Mkhitaryan and then bringing in Aubameyang too would represent a great deal of business for Arsene Wenger.

But Arsenal supporters know not to get their hopes up until they see the pair in Arsenal shirts.
