Amir Khan's return to the boxing ring after a two-year hiatus was not exactly surprising. The British fighter had been hinting for months that he would be making a comeback, however, it was quite a shock to see him sign on with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom.Khan had always previously stated he was not fond of Hearn, but it appears the pair have now made up, with the I'm a Celebrity favourite's first bout on his return scheduled for April 21 in Liverpool's Echo Arena. The name of his opponent is still unknown, but it will likely be a lesser opponent in order for Khan to rebuild his confidence. In the future, the fight everyone wants is Khan v Kell Brook.Brook recently received the all-clear to return to the ring after fracturing both eye sockets in his last two fights against Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jr.The general consensus is that Khan v Brook would be a very even affair, however, WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders believes otherwise.Safe to say, he thinks he knows who is coming out victorious in the potential all-British bout.

TWEET: SAUNDERS' VERDICT

That's essentially the opposite of sitting on the fence.

Boxing fans on Twitter had quite a mixed reaction to his opinion and their thoughts on the matter made for some very interesting reading.

BOXING FANS REACT

A few agree, but there is a lot of support for Khan, particularly due to the fact that has lost Brook his last two fights.

However, in Khan's last bout in 2016, he was completely destroyed by Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, so it will be interesting to see how he readjusts to the sport after such a prolonged sabbatical.

As for Saunders, he will defend his belt for the fourth time against Martin Murray on April 14, with the winner of that fight meeting the victor in Canelo and Golovkin's rematch.

Exciting times ahead.
