One WWE Hall of Famer has sounded off on this situation.

It’s been well documented former WWE Divas Champion Paige’s career is over as in-ring performer under the WWE banner according to a report by PWinsider.com.

Paige was informed this week while at Monday’s Raw TV event that she will not be cleared to return to the ring after her most recent in-ring injury. It was noted that it’s a situation described as similar to Edge's medical disqualification from competing in the ring.

It all started in late December at a live event in Long Island. For those who may not remember, she was in a six-woman tag match that needed to be called off.

Paige took a hard kick to the back from Sasha Banks that she wasn’t ready for and it stunned her. The early belief was it was just a mild stinger, leading to her losing feeling in her extremities.

WWE pulled her from the ring and set up further testing that led to this decision.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross giving his take on Paige’s injury in a recent blog he posted on his website.

“Saddened to read of Paige's neck injury is apparently going to take her out of the ring for good. I was happy to see Paige on RAW Monday night and I know that she can remain a viable figure in the @WWE if she chooses to invest in herself and in the next skill sets that she will need to refine.

Paige has a unique personality that can be amended to allow her to excel in what could be multiple assignments going forward. Don't count her out.”

WWE is set to hold their 25 Anniversary Monday Night Raw show this coming Monday night and JR will be there.

“Beyond excited to get the invite to be a part of the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night RAW this Monday night from the Manhattan Center in NYC. Reuniting with Jerry Lawler is always a blast and I'm hopeful that we get to call a few matches together.

Tune in Monday night and check us out. According to what I have read online The King and I will be stationed at the Manhattan Center for our guest appearance on Monday night along with many of the greats from the RAW legacy.”
