Everyone loves Roger Federer. Genuinely they do.He’s the nice guy of tennis, regardless of any outbursts he might have had. That’s just the passion he has for the sport boiling to the surface under pressure.Making it to the fourth round of the Australian Open after a 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 routine match in a little under two hours, Federer remains on course to win an epic 20th Grand Slam title – more than any other in the game. But, his best performance of the night didn’t come on court, despite his tennis being a show of class and brilliance against France’s Richard Gasquet.Instead, it was his post-match interview with Jim Courier of Australia’s Channel Seven that gave the crowd the best entertainment.Following an early exchange with the reporter about the actual match, Federer claimed his response to his question was “a terrible answer.” Courier didn’t disagree, adding: “That was a mediocre answer.”What then followed was comedy and a heartfelt discussion about the tennis star’s family, particularly his four children.Federer has been playful on Twitter recently with Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, in which he tweeted an intense photo to the actor and former WWE wrestler, and said: “Hey @TheRock, am I doing the “Smoldering Intensity” right?”Fans at the Rod Laver Arena loved it when Federer stopped mid-sentence to replicate his tweet.

But, endearing himself to even more fans came when asked about his children.

Courier asked how much did the kids play, and Federer laughed it off saying: “I don’t know if the people really care about hearing about them.”

When the crowd roared full of encouragement, Federer gave us an insight into the family’s love of his sport.

“The girls have really fallen in love with tennis now. We are getting something back on the return on the investment,” he explained, tongue in cheek.

As the crowd were in fits of laughter, he went on to say: "I guess that I was like that too when I was younger and the boys seem to enjoy themselves more. They like it which is nice.

"I’m just happy they play tennis and we can play as a family and they can play with their friends one day.

"This is not about becoming professional tennis players, if they do that I will support it. I just want them to play sport, stay active and go out there with their friends and have fun. They are doing that and that is wonderful."

All in all, everyone is now cooing over Federer and this little insight into the Federer household brings him closer to the fans who will cheer him on towards his 20th title.
