Sasha Banks on what could be next for the Women's Revolution

Former RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks has some great ideas for the future of the WWE Women's Revolution - one in particular.

For the past several years the WWE has really been ramping up its female division by innovating new match opportunities for them, creating the RAW and SmackDown Live Women's Titles, and dropping the "Diva" term from their vocabulary.

It has been great to see women such as Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Carmella, Naomi, Natalya, Bayley, and so many more usher in a new era of women's professional wrestling with these new innovations.

Banks has been one of the more successful women since the beginning of the Women's Revolution, having won the RAW Women's Title several times and putting on an extraordinary feud with Charlotte Flair.

She is currently one of the biggest fan favorites on the roster and has her eyes on making history for women in wrestling yet again. During a recent interview with Sky Sports Banks claimed she thinks it's time for a Women's Tag Team Division (quotes via Ringside News):

"I would love that," Banks told Sky Sports. "I think we have enough women on the roster now to actually have a women's tag division.

"We've been given multiple storylines but at the same time, it's very hard to accomplish something if you're not actually fighting for anything.

"Only one woman can go after the women's championship and I think if we had tag team championships we'd be able to create way more interesting storylines.

"We have tag matches all the time, every single week, so I say why not get a championship involved in that?"

As for her singles career on the main roster, Banks said she'd love to recreate her old NXT rivalry with Bayley:

"That rivalry with Bayley is something I would love to pick back up because she has my number and that annoys me," she said.

"I am the greatest women's wrestler ever and I want to show the world that. I'm in no rush for it. I plan on being in WWE for a long time and that's something we can pick up at any time."

What are your thoughts on Banks' idea to have a Women's Tag Team Division in the WWE? Do you think this is something that the company could implicate soon? And who do you think would be a good option to have compete for the first-ever Women's Tag Team Championships? Have YOUR say in the comments section below, and the fourth episode of GiveMeSport’s WWE podcast is here!
