WWE's special Raw 25 show takes place later today across the Barclays Center and the Manhattan Center to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw, and many legends are expected to make their return to the show to be part of the celebrations.

Some of the biggest names listed to appear on Raw tonight include Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, D-Generation, Trish Stratus, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, The Dudley Boyz, Christian, Ric Flair, Scott Hall, The Bella Twins, The New Age Outlaws, Eric Bischoff, JBL, Kelly Kelly, Michelle McCool, and Howard Finkel.

However, there are many more legends from the past that are expected to make an appearance on the show, including a few surprise appearances as well either as actual surprises or via satellite.

One legend from the past that won't be on the show tonight though is Edge, and he explained why he won't be showing up on a recent episode of the E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness as well as on his own Twitter account.

The Rated 'R' Superstar explained that it's not that he doesn't want to be there, but he can't make the show due to the fact he will be on location in Dublin, Ireland, so he won’t be there as much as he would love to be, but he will be there in spirit.

It's a shame that Edge won't be appearing live in person in the ring on the show, but hopefully, he will make some sort of appearance via satellite to make up for it, as there will be many WWE fans that will be disappointed due to the fact he isn't there.

Edge was involved in many big moments in Monday Night Raw's history, especially during the time when he was feuding with The Dudley Boyz and The Hardy Boyz as part of his tag team with Christian, as well as during his feuds with John Cena, and of course his sudden retirement.

Edge hasn't been seen inside a WWE ring for some time now, so if he doesn't make an appearance via satellite tonight, hopefully we don't have to wait much longer until we see him on WWE TV again.
