Watford's survival hopes have been dealt a major blow with the news on-loan Manchester United youngster Tom Cleverley will miss the rest of the season.

The England Under-21 midfielder, who is the Hornets' top scorer with 11 goals, was carried off on a stretcher during Monday's 1-1 draw against West Brom with a knee injury

Boss Malky Mackay confirmed: "Tom has knee ligament damage and his season is sadly finished. It's a terrible shame for Tom and the club. Since arriving he has been fantastic for us in every way."
