With the NBA's trade deadline now less than three weeks away, the biggest name on everybody's lips continues to be Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan. The big man has a number of suitors and multiple teams have engaged in trade discussions with the Clippers around the possibility of acquiring him before February 8.Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks have held talks regarding Jordan at various points in the last few months but another team has now joined the fray.According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Portland Trail Blazers have joined the Cavs and Bucks in expressing an interest in the All-Star.But despite fielding calls from the trio of teams, Stein reports that the Clippers are yet to receive a tempting offer from any of them to part with the 29-year-old.

Jordan has a $24 million player option for next season but he could easily decide to opt out and seek to earn a bigger deal in free agency.

There's no guarantee that DJ will commit to Los Angeles or any team he may potentially be traded to but they are all willing to take the risk of essentially renting the All-NBA star.

L.A. could look to go in a different direction and bring in some new pieces or go all-in on their frontcourt of DeAndre and Blake Griffin.

At this moment, it appears their position is fairly clear; they're willing to part with the seven-footer but only if they receive a proposal they can't refuse.

It's difficult to imagine that the Blazers would want to have a lineup that features both Jusuf Nurkic and Jordan so we should assume that any deal would include the big Bosnian.

The franchise only acquired Nurkic last season and he's been performing relatively well since he arrived in Oregon.

He's also on a small contract but he'll become a restricted free agent in the summer and the Trail Blazers may not be willing to pay him the big bucks.

A more interesting option that could seriously grab the Clippers' attention would be if Portland decides to break up its backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum and chooses to throw one of them into the deal.

A potential trade featuring Nurkic and McCollum for Jordan and Lou Williams could be an attractive proposition for the men from California, for example.

But as Stein reported, we're still a long way from a blockbuster move like this taking place and the chances don't look too good at this late stage.

It'll definitely be worth keeping an eye on the developments around Jordan, however, as there's always a possibility that a surprise can be sprung at any time.
