After three-and-a-half seasons in charge, the Milwaukee Bucks made the surprising decision to fire head coach Jason Kidd on Monday.Kidd compiled a 139-152 record overall during his time in Milwaukee, leading the Bucks to the playoffs in 2015 and 2017.However, the team was 4-7 in January and dropped to eighth in the Eastern Conference standings after a promising start to the campaign. That was a major factor in the front office's final decision to part ways with the 44-year-old, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The management personnel ultimately felt that they were underperforming with what they had at their disposal."We believe that a fresh approach and a change in leadership are needed to continue elevating our talented team towards the next level, bringing us closer to our goal of competing for championships," general manager Jon Horst said, per ESPN.He leaves behind a hugely attractive and desirable job. The Bucks will now begin the process of finding a successor and here are three candidates who should be in the mix:

David Fizdale

After his shock firing from the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this year, Fizdale should be considered the frontrunner for this job as his stock is still pretty high after doing a good job with limited resources.

He is widely regarded as one of the best young coaches around and he may be a perfect fit to get the best out of an exciting Milwaukee roster that is full of potential.

The fact that he's available now and can begin immediately makes him even more attractive.

After serving as an assistant coach for over a decade with the likes of the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat, Fiz was always regarded as a future head coach and proved his worth during his stint in Memphis.

He has respect from many players he's worked with including Dwyane Wade and LeBron James who both expressed their anger at his dismissal from the Grizzlies.

The 43-year-old is bound to get another coaching job in the NBA in the near future, maybe Milwaukee could be the right one for him.

Monty Williams

According to Sam Amick of USA Today, Williams could already be among the favourites to land the job.

Amick states that he's been waiting patiently for his next head coaching job after being fired by the New Orleans Pelicans in 2015 after five years at the helm, where he guided them to the playoffs in his final season.

He also played a huge role in making Anthony Davis one of the best big men in the league and that experience should see him work well with Giannis Antetokounmpo.

He went on to become an assistant coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder and is currently serving as the vice president of basketball operations with the San Antonio Spurs.

The 46-year-old is hugely experienced and very well respected around the league by players, coaches and executives which would make him a good candidate to lead this young Bucks team.

Mark Jackson

Jackson has not had a head coaching gig since he was fired by the Golden State Warriors in 2014.

His firing was met with some uproar in the NBA world as many felt he had been harshly treated having done a good job nurturing the young talent he had at his disposal.

The ESPN analyst was responsible for bringing through the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and laid the foundations for the success of the franchise.

His successor Steve Kerr has already credited him for making the Warriors one of the best defensive teams and it's a mystery why he hasn't had an opportunity to return to the league.

The way he developed the young core in the Bay Area should make him a prime candidate for this position in Wisconsin.
