The NBA announced the All-Star reserves on Tuesday night and as usual, there were some notable absentees.Kristaps Porzingis, Victor Oladipo, Bradley Beal, Kevin Love, John Wall, Kyle Lowry and Al Horford were selected from the Eastern Conference.Russell Westbrook, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butlers were chosen from the Western Conference. One of the biggest omissions is Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George and this didn't go down well with Westbrook. The reigning MVP criticised the decision to leave out PG13 and described it as "outrageous"."Unbelievable. I think it's just outrageous, in my opinion," Westbrook said, per ESPN's Royce Young. "I don't know who else made the team but got four people from one team, you've got guys complaining about getting snubbed until they get in, you've got guys just talking about it all the time.

"But the guys that deserve it -- should be in -- are not. I just don't understand. Doesn't make any sense."

The point guard is clearly making a reference to the Golden State Warriors as they're the only team to have four All-Stars.

His second remark could well be aimed at Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard who has often hit out publicly about being snubbed for the All-Star game in recent years and has found himself back in this time around.

But Westbrook believes George's numbers and performances speak for themselves and he should be recognised for it.

"Guy leads the league in steals, competes every night, top two at his position. Don't make any sense, regardless of anything else," Westbrook said.

"If you're going by All-Stars, there are certain All-Stars in this league. Everybody's not an All-Star. Just because you get voted in doesn't mean you're an All-Star. I just think it's outrageous. But you know, it is what it is."

The reserves were announced an hour before the Thunder took on the Brooklyn Nets and the news didn't seem to affect George too much as he came out firing with 16 points in the first quarter, en route to 28 points in a 109-108 win.

"It wasn't going to put me in a funk or cause me to be in a lost place or a sunken place," George said. "I didn't make All-Star. It is what it is. I've got a longer break in between the season now."

The 27-year-old did admit that he wanted to take part in his hometown of Los Angeles but he's been denied the opportunity to do so which will benefit Oklahoma City.

The added rest will certainly do him and the team the world of good heading into the crucial final stretch of the season.
