The Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of a horrible slump and suffered their 10th defeat in the last 12 games on Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs. This is also one of the worst stretches LeBron James has personally been through in his glittering career. With their championship hopes fading and LBJ set to enter free agency in the summer, the Cavs are prepared to take drastic action to try and salvage their campaign.Multiple reports in recent weeks have suggested that the Wine and Gold are one of the most active teams in the trade market and it appears they may be close to securing reinforcements.According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, the Cavaliers are deep in trade talks with the Sacramento Kings to acquire veteran point guard George Hill.Appearing on an episode of 'The Jump', Windhorst said they are "way down the road on a deal... it's at the one-yard line."Adrian Wojnarowski added that Iman Shumpert and Channing Frye are the "primary players" that are being discussed in the deal.

Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports first reported their interest in the experienced guard over the weekend and it seems things have progressed quickly in the last few days.

The Kings only signed Hill last summer as a free agent but have reportedly been shopping him since mid-December as they look to go all-in on their young talent and build around them.

The 31-year-old has struggled to fit in with Sacramento and has had a frustrating campaign. He's averaging just 10.3 points - down from a career-high 16.9 last season with the Utah Jazz.

Hill signed a three-year, $57 million contract with the Kings in the offseason and is set to make $37m until 2020 - though his team can buy out the final year of his deal for just $1m.

As well as the former Indiana Pacers man, the Cavs are believed to still hold an interest in Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.

With Frye and Shumpert set to be off their books, the Wine and Gold could also look to move Tristan Thompson.

But the Clippers have made it clear that they will only do business if the Cavaliers include the Brooklyn Nets' 2018 first-round pick - which they received from the Boston Celtics in the Kyrie Irving trade.

That appears to be the stumbling block at this moment in time as the Ohio-based franchise seems to be reluctant to part with that pick as they have no assurances over the future of LeBron.

Cleveland is definitely the team to keep an eye on before the February 8 trade deadline as there could be some big moves taking place.
